The Individuals With Disabilities Act (IDEA) is an expansive federal law that covers eligible students with disabilities and ensures the opportunity to receive a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE). Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) means that special education and related services with specially designed instruction are provided to you at no cost.
